As one of our 52 member cities, we commend Thomasville for discovering ways of adapting to today’s ever changing environment. Imagine a community rallying together in the face of a global pandemic. That’s exactly what Thomasville leaders, businesses and citizens did, working together to provide essential supplies during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

“For the last several weeks I’ve had the 3D printers from school and have them printing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Tammy Sharpe, Thomas County teacher.  

From using 3D printers to make face masks to designing and sewing cloth masks, to providing lodging to essential workers, the community has come together to support their healthcare heroes and local businesses that have been incredibly impacted by the pandemic.
