In this issue, Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Commissioner Camila Knowles provides insight into DCA initiatives, “One is the creation of our Community Services Division to return our regional service delivery strategy to having one main point of contact. Secondly, I am passionate about rural Georgia and ways we can make sure that, as an agency, we are addressing the needs in our rural communities. Finally, with our 65 different programs, we are making sure to leverage resources across all programs.”

In this issue, Georgia Lt. Governor Casey Cagle explains, “Our College and Career Academy (CCA) Network has been a major step toward reaching his goal of creating a 21st century workforce in Georgia. There are currently over 34 CCAs with 11 operating in ECG communities. Career Academies represent not simply a new educational opportunity for students – they represent an entirely new approach to educating our students.”
