SEWON America to create 100 jobs in LaGrange, GA
Gov. Nathan Deal announced that SEWON America, a leading supplier to the automotive industry, will create 100 jobs and invest $160 million in expanding its North American headquarters and manufacturing plant in LaGrange.

Love’s Truck Stop to bring new location to West Point, GA
Love’s Truck Stop has purchased a 20-acre site off Exit 2 on Interstate 85 in West
Point, Georgia. According to a preliminary site plan Love’s plans on building a 12,000 square foot
facility on the 20-acre site. The $20 million investment, includes a truck stop,
restaurant, a Speedco, gourmet coffee, snacks, and more for motorists and
professional drivers.

Vintech Industries to create approximately 30 jobs in Newnan
The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) today announced that VINTECH INDUSTRIES (VINTECH), a leading Tier Two Supplier to the Global Automotive Industry, will make a significant investment in Newnan following the purchase of a facility in the South Newnan Industrial Park. Slated to begin production in the first quarter of 2019, the project will initially create approximately 30 jobs.

Georgia Named Top State in the Nation for Business
For the fifth consecutive year, Georgia has been named the top state in the nation for business according to the publication Area Development. Governor Nathan Deal joined representatives from Area Development this September at the State of the Ports Address in Savannah to make the announcement. During a statement to the press, the governor said this “coveted distinction reflects the strength and resilience of our pro-business environment.” He credited a low tax structure, global gateways, and pro technology environment to success. In addition, the governor reaffirmed the state’s commitment to workforce and transportation infrastructure.

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Nisshinbo Automotive Manufacturing, Inc. (NAMI), a leading manufacturer and supplier of environmentally friendly brake pads, will create 100 jobs and invest $72 million in an expansion of its Covington facility.
