Prior to joining ECG, Scott was a project manager and GIS/Site Specialist at the Coweta County Development Authority. During his time, Scott fostered vital local and state relationships and his knowledge of sites and environmentals, allowing for over $3 billion in capital investment for Coweta County.
Along with his economic development work, Scott is heavily invested in his community as chairman of Keep Newnan Beautiful, Boys and Girls Clubs of Newnan-Coweta, president of Plant Newnan, INC, and co-chair of Leadership Coweta. He has been a consulting forester for private landowners for the past 20 years and was the managing partner for Tree Protection Supply from 2008 until it was successfully sold in 2019.
As a graduate of the University of Georgia, Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in Forest Resources with an emphasis in timber management and is a Georgia Registered Forester. Scott enjoys cooking BBQ, beekeeping, woodworking, UGA football, and wrangling four boys, a chameleon, and their dog, Pilot, with his wife, Valerie.
